What are you and your skills worth? The compensation a successful new graduate may reasonably expect as a Master Esthetician does vary. Based on the U.S. Department of Labor statistics, the average salary for an Esthetician is between $7.32 – $24.88 per hour or $15,230.00 to $51,750.00 annually.
Most often a Master Esthetician is paid on commission, and the commission earned is normally between 30% to 60% per service. The average price of a facial is $100.00. Therefore based on that average, Master Estheticians paid on commission working full time can average between $33,600 – $100,000 per year. A Master Esthetician may reasonably expect to earn a good living, a supplementary second income, or may choose to just earn a little extra spending money on the side.
Note of interest: The women that trained Diane charged $500.00 per facial treatment. Yes, really! Her advice was – “you can make what you think you are worth”.
