Skin Care Products
By training in PRODUCT and INGREDIENT knowledge, Mandalyn Academy students are prepared to use products that they may be asked to use later in their professional careers. Knowledge of INGREDIENTS and how they affect the skin provides our students and graduates the confidence needed for success in working in the spa industry.
Specialty guests and classes allow students to become familiar with a variety of products and application techniques. Ongoing training and product knowledge is important to us, and graduates are always welcomed back to attend classes.
AYUR-MEDIC
Mandalyn Academy students are privileged to train with and perform services using AYUR-MEDIC Skin Care Products, developed by Doctor Raj Kanodia, a world renowned plastic surgeon (featured on the TV show Dr. 90210), and Doctor Ezra Kest, a cosmetic Dermatologist, along with a team of research professionals. Ayur-Medic uses both Ayurvedic herbs and proven anti-aging compounds. Each product is uniquely formulated to maximally penetrate the skin and deliver all active ingredients with safe growth factors that help stimulate collagen synthesis.
Other first-rate skincare and beauty products, such as Image, Glymed, Mlis, and O.P.I. are also used in our training and spa services.
Chemical Peels
Using Glymed, Image, and other chemical peels, students are trained in the use of Lactic, Glycolic, Salicylic, Trichloroacetic acids (TCA) and Jessners chemical peels.
Equipment
Mandalyn Academy believes in using top of the line equipment in our spa and for student training. This provides our guests with excellent spa treatments and our students with a broad understanding of the professional skincare equipment available in the market today. Ongoing equipment training and knowledge is important to us, and graduates are always welcomed back to attend classes.
