About Mandalyn Academy
Mandalyn Academy launched in 2001 when Mandalyn Freeland realized the possibility of creating an exceptional Master Esthetics Program for those who want a successful career in the spa and beauty industry. In 2006, Diane Bitaraf joined forces with Mandalyn and they began building on the core values of the company and identifying how they could ensure that their students receive a high-quality education, customer service, and become experts in the industry. Mandalyn and Diane noticed what had been done during their own beauty school experiences and that of other schools around the country, but they also noticed what wasn’t being done. They committed to creating a structured, yet positive and fun atmosphere where students can become confident and successful professionals.
Diane retired in 2020, Mandalyn continues to find joy and satisfaction in helping students transform their lives for good through education, confidence, and success. With her own education and industry experience, she is personally involved and committed to the success of EACH student who attends the academy. As a mother and woman in business, she understands the importance of finding a balance in family, work, education, and personal time. Helping others who are looking to improve and transform their own lives for good is very important to her. Each student’s success is the priority at Mandalyn Academy.
Mandalyn is involved in the Utah Beauty School Owners Association and participates in legislation, state board meetings, state exam trainings, workshops, continuing education, and other associations to provide current and relevant industry training for students.
The mission of Mandalyn Academy is to assist in the transformation of lives, by preparing committed individuals to be successful professionals in the Cosmetology and Esthetics industries.
